Right??!! They rubbed the lamp, the genie popped out, and granted their wish of BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD for OKC!
Yes
Fresh ingredients and dynamite food. I've only had three gyro so far but, wil eventually try the rest of the menu. The hummus is good also.
I love their gyro meet and the spicy hummus is the best.
The food here is top quality. Everything tastes fresh and had a great flavor. The place is meticulously clean and well kept. I was helped by Tory, who was knowledgeable about the food and contentious about it's freshness, and very friendly, I will be back for sure!Edit: As I was leaving, we saw that they make their pita bread fresh, which explains why it's so good!
Today we went to Baba G. Today was not a good day for them. The meat was super tough and chewy. They also didn't heat the pita bread. I am not sure when we will come back.
They probably don't know this but... They made our (my wife and I) first experience one of the best. The reviews were right. They were real helpful with our newness, letting us sample the meats, Huge portions! Fed us both to our limits for less than $25 bucks! Clean and inviting! Felt Authentic yet professional!
Best fast grab restaurant, very healthy and tasty.
First of all its very clean, second the staff were very friendly and helpful. They explained the dishes allowed my daughters to taste things and encouraged them to try new things. The food was very flavorful and everything was delicious. Portions were very generous and the price wasn't bad. We will definitely be going back!
Best Mediterranean food I have had in the city. All the meats are great. Everything is super fresh. BabaG platter is enough for 3 or 4 people. Try all the sauces, garlic is excellent.
The food was great and the employees were so friendly and helpful. I liked that it follows Subway's format basically so you get to choose what goes on your pita and you get it very fast. They make the falafel to order on this cool little shaping stick so it's nice and hot. I thought the steak shawarma was a little dry so I'm going to try the gyro next time. Can't wait to go back!
The Gyro has a different wrapper than most gyro places and they have some different toppings than you might expect. I let them put all the “traditional†toppings they recommend and I was not disappointed. One of the best Gyros I’ve had. The hummus was good. The pita chips for the hummus could be improved.
People were nice and generally had a real nice vibe and the food is great too !! 10 outta 10 would recomend
It was my first time eating there and the black man working behind the counter was friendly helpful and patient. Wasted no food in the preparation and allowed me to taste all the options before I ordered. He knew his job very well and made the already pleasant experience exceptional. If I lived in Oklahoma city I would eat here all the time! I had the lamb and it was amazing. It's like subway for gyros.
First time to try Mediterranean. I had no idea what to get. The lady was great. She helped me pick my food and I loved everything. Everything was fresh and the flavors where amazing. They give you to much food for the price. It’s a great place and highly recommend. Will go back!
First time trying Mediterranean food and it is so good, the employees are super nice and helpful! Will come again!
Friendly service. Prices ranging from $5.99 to $9.99. Clean atmosphere. Our pitas were served a little on the cold side though.
Baba G's has terrific couscous, hummus, and gyro meat. Their in-house pickled vegetables are wonderful. I can honestly not say enough good things about this place. If you have not tried it, go there now!
We love this place! The food here is excellent, and I mean excellent. Even the baklava is made from scratch. But we usually come for the hookah bar. This is one of the only hookah bars in the city that hasn't been overrun with loud kids and loud music. Its a very chill, relaxing, dim place with excellent service - miles ahead of the service at the *other* places. Most of the people you'll see there are regulars, so most of the customers know each other and are very friendly. If you're looking for a place to enjoy relaxing with some hookah, this is definitely the first place to check out!
Nice sized pita with a lot of Gyro meat. Everyone was very happy and seemed to be enjoying working there. I will go back but get a different side than the tabbouleh which was way too herb laden for my taste. But then again I've only had the dish a time or two.
Honestly the best Falafel I've had in Oklahoma. This place is fantastic and I will be coming back frequently. Especially for how generous the portions are for the price while also being the best tasting Falafel I've had in the area.
This place is awesome! I would recommend anyone to go and eat at this restaurant. It is located upstairs, and the back, of the Grand Casino. It is like a buffet but is most definitely not a buffet. They sit you at a table, ask you what you would like to drink, and then direct you towards the salad bar which has over 35 items on it including shrimp, oysters, several different styles of cheese, fruit, soups of various types Etc.. then, when you are ready you turn your card over and it shows green and then the meet starts and does not stop until you are finished eating. A small list would include steak, lamb, chops, sausages, chicken, and the list goes on and on. This is a little pricey three of us cost around $150 but it is well worth it.
This location is not as good as the one in Edmond. It's not as clean and the staff are not as friendly. They also tend to be more stingy at this location. For example, if you want hummus (just a spread) on your sandwich they will charge you for a side of hummus. That's really silly. I'd understand if I were getting the same amount but it's literally just a thin spread of hummus added on the sandwich. Honestly, if you want baba G. go to Edmond. If you're stuck around this are just head to Nunu's they are AMAZING and affordable!! Vegan options are clear at Nunu's as well :)
This is by far one of the best Gyros I've had in recent memory. For starters the hospitality was 2nd to none. They slice fresh pita bread open and stuff it full of meat all while letting you build/assemble your own sandwich. Due to the sheer size of my sandwich, I wasn't able to finito it but, I did request a takeout box. I've attached pictures so that you can see what delectable construction you'll have once you partake in your own gyro experience.
Very authentic for being in the US. The shawarma taste like it did when I was in Jordan! The people here are great also.
The food was good and the staff was helpful
Imagine a subway for Gyros! Ita great and everything is made fresh every day! You cant find a bad thing on the menu. They also have gold peak sweet tea on tap! Very awesome place. They have the best hummus in the city by far! The spicy one with some olive oil and paprika yum!!
Great pita which greatly improved the gyros. Really good hummus regular and red pepper.
Don't let the low key exterior fool you, this is a nice place that you don't want to miss. Went with some co-workers for lunch recently and I'm glad we did, we will definitely be adding this to our rotation. I got the Gyro plate that came with basmati rice, shawarma and for my two sides I chose the spicy hummus and fries. Everything was fresh and the fries were piping hot. The hummus was good and actually had a little kick to it which I enjoyed. My only knock on what I got for lunch was that the bread that it came with was cold, would have been nice if it was warmed up might not have been quite so chewy. It's not a huge place so I'm going to guess once people realize how good/cheap it is they are going to be pretty busy for lunch.
Excellent food, service! Try them yiu will love the fresh made and not frozen. Pita bread really good and humus was scrumptious.
Really good Mediterranean food! Big portions for a great price! And the guys working there are awesome!!
The gyro plate is amazing!
Baba G is my family’s favorite go to for delicious Mediterranean food. They’re Gyros, lamb platters, tabbouleh, hummus and so much more are by far the best.
Absolutely loved this place. My husband goes here with work friends all the time and took me during a thursday lunch hour. Food was fantastic, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and you get very big portions so come hungry!
Really good food nice people definitely eating there again
I don't know which is better, the people who work there or the food. Both are fantastic. When we told them we had never been there before they immediately gave us a sample of all their meat. Best chicken I have ever tasted! It had a sweet flavor that was a little spicy and completely addictive. The gyro meat was just as good and the beef was tender and juicy, so the choice was tough. A plate only costs around $8 or $9 and includes two sides as well as rice or couscous, so it is a lot of food. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food. Probably the best Mediterranean I've ever had. Awesome, friendly staff. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Please give this place a try. You won't regret it!
Have had better gyros from pizza places ðŸ˜
My new obsession the Gyro salad with all the sides, house dressing and a side of hot sauce to dip my meat.
Alot of food . Tell them if u dont like much salt. Lots of garlic
My SO and I have been trying other Mediterranean restaurants to try convincing ourselves there's something better than Baba G. There isn't. Baba G is consistently delicious and their food always tastes fresh (even being pickled) and flavorful.Update: As I sit here, enjoying leftovers from a Baba G run yesterday (the portions are very generous), I'm reflecting on a dream I had earlier in the week. In this dream, Baba G was in a closing shopping mall with no signs of reopening elsewhere. When I woke up, the very first thing I said to my SO was "I had a terrible nightmare". Baba G is just that good (please never, ever close).
Incredible food, great prices, huge portions. The baba ganoush and the spicy hummus are fantastic. The pita is made fresh while you order. Great place.
Great service and friendly staff. Food is so good!! You won't leave this place hungry.
The food here is DELICIOUS! I cannot decide if I like the gyro or falafel best, both are great. Also loved the couscous and hummus. Tzatziki and tahini sauces were both very tasty. BUT, you have to get their fresh made baklava!
Really good food, super friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!
The beef here doesn't taste good but the employees are super nice
Incredibly fresh. Taboule (sp?) Is amazing. Gyro meat sliced thick
It's my favorite place for shawarma in the OKC metro.
I wish i would have tried this place sooner. It is fresh, flavorful, delicious food! Service was great too.
We ordered take out and it was awful and expensive! The gyro meat was extremely well done and hard as a rock! The fries were cold and the pitas were stale! We will never go back!
Delicious and authentic! The staff is so nice and the restaurant was very clean. I also liked the free hummus samples at the register. I decided to order the spicy hummus and it was so good! Will definitely go back.
Amazing food for such a reasonable price! For $8 I got a huge falafel plate with some of the best pita and couscous I've ever had. Wholeheartedly recommend.
